Every June, Lisbon transforms. The streets of Bairro Alto fill with colour, music spills out of every corner and the smell of grilled sardines takes over the neighbourhood. Santos Populares is one of those celebrations that reminds you why this city is like nowhere else.
This year, we’re bringing a little bit of that magic up to the Lumi Rooftop. On the 12th of June, expect Santos-inspired decorations, music, and the best views in Bairro Alto. Sardines fresh off the barbecue will be served with bread and roasted peppers, and every hotel guest receives one, on us.
Santos Populares is Lisbon’s most beloved festival season, running throughout June in honour of three patron saints: Santo António on the 13th, São João on the 24th and São Pedro on the 29th. In Lisbon, the highlight is the night of the 12th to 13th, when the Parade of Popular Marching Bands takes over Avenida da Liberdade and the city stays up until dawn.
Celebrating at Lumi Rooftop puts you right in the middle of it all. Everyone is welcome. Come as you are, stay as long as you like.
